Wolfgang Gerhardt, the President of the Board of Directors, Ulrich Niemann, the Resident Representative, Sascha Tamm, the Head of the Central, Southeast and Eastern Europe Department of The Friedrich Naumann Foundation, attended the meeting.
Wolfgang Gerhardt reported on the activity of the Organization. He stated that "The Foundation is an independent, nonprofit, nongovernmental organization that is committed to promoting liberal policy and politics". On 25 February 2008 The Foundation opened its representative office in Kyiv. The employees of the said organization will consult on the issues concerning strategy and holding of political campaigns, disseminate ideas of political liberalism.
Oleh Bilorus, the Committee Chairman, emphasized willingness of the Committee members to cooperate with the parliament members of the Republic of Germany, and with the representatives of The Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
Oleh Bilorus drew attention of the audience to the fact that Ukraine is at the important stage of its development, namely, is getting prepared to the integration into the European dimension.
